Description:

Techs will monitor the Data Center (DC) and ensure smooth operations. They must be willing to escort customers through the DC if they need to access and work on their equipment. Techs will also manage the network for critical issues that need to be resolved. This position is very entry-level, providing an excellent opportunity for those looking to start their career in the tech industry. Below are additional job duties that techs may perform when things are busy:

• Cable Management: Pulling cable, pulling innerduct, dressing cables, labeling, and fiber cleaning according to industry and customer standards.

• Material Handling: Carrying and loading materials to be used on the job.

• Installation Knowledge: Fiber and Telecom installation knowledge and experience, including Fiber, Cat5, and Cat6 cables.

• Maintenance: Washing and cleaning vehicles and equipment.

• Physical Work: Engaging in physical tasks such as climbing up and down ladders, assembling server cabinets, and cabling.

Skills

• Cable Management: Proficiency in handling and managing cables.

• Networking Certifications: Knowledge of CCNA and Cisco systems.

• Network Monitoring: Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds.

• Data Center Operations: Understanding of data center operations and protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
