Wells Fargo Lead Business Execution Consultant-Screening and Monitoring Operations in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

About this role:

Wells Fargo’s Financial Crimes Operations (FCO) is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to support the Screening & Monitoring Operations (SMO) organization with screening initiatives, systems parameters and configurations, testing and tuning approach, change impact analysis, operational readiness, metrics and reporting, and model documentation and validation. The Lead Business Execution Consultant will report directly to the Head of Screening & Investigations and will lead activities designed to ensure screening and monitoring technology and vendor solutions are fit for purpose, effective, and continuously improving.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute programs involving screening (e.g., PEP, Negative News, and others) solutions and models

  • Function as a screening solution and process subject matter expert during change management, metric and reporting, and model management, documentation, and validation activities.

  • Manage system parameters and configurations, testing and tuning approach, and the operational impact for screening models

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise, industry and regulatory standards and requirements related to screening and model risk management.

  • Conduct ongoing testing of model and tool performance followed by documentation of findings

  • Participate in the preparation, dissemination, and presentation of configuration reporting to multiple level of leadership including executives

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (product managers, technology developers, testers, end-users, and senior management) to measure and analyze performance, solicit performance data and feedback, and drive improvements.

  • Host and lead recurring working sessions, information sharing meeting, and other applicable forum.

  • Participate in recurring senior leadership meetings to educate, inform, escalate through the use of executive summaries, one-pagers, and other business story-telling materials.

  • Immediately escalate items of concern, ensuring the appropriate level of urgency is received by the senior and executive management.

  • Manage and maintain configuration controls and associated control procedures for screening solutions and models. This is inclusive of creating and writing the controls and procedures.

  • Manage and maintain procedures, job aides, change management documentation, testing results, etc. This is inclusive of creating and writing the materials.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all related testing and audit engagements including but not limited to process walkthroughs, sample and artifact procurement, Q&A sessions, etc.

  • Proactively drive the ongoing improvement and optimization of the configuration management process ensuring optimal system (and model) effectiveness and efficiency, as well as general improvements related to screening.

  • Participate and support transformation activities.

  • Make recommendations or decisions on highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area and activities.

  • Participate and manage applicable areas of RCSA and Issues Management.

Locations: West Des Moines, IA (West Des Moines Campus), and Charlotte, NC (CIC-Customer Information Center)

Position does not offer relocation.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML programs, including Client Screening (PEP, Negative News, Sanctions, etc.), CDD, KYC, CIP transaction monitoring, and enhanced due diligence.

  • Strong Knowledge of screening solutions, system parameters and configurations, and metrics and reporting.

  • Experience drafting business proposals with visuals that tell the story.

  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable and actionable information.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings discussions that result in the desired outcomes.

  • Ability to operate effectively in both an ambiguous and structured environment.

  • Knowledge of the audit and issue management process.

  • Ability to achieve results while execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment with multiple priorities.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including directors and executives.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization.

  • Demonstrated change leadership skills with the ability to lead through change impacts.

  • Ability to operative effectively at both a conceptual level and a detailed level.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to credibly challenge the status quo.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work the hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.
