Job Title: Procurement Manager
Department: Purchasing
FLSA: Exempt
General Function:
Oversees daily functions of Purchasing Assistants while offering support where needed. Liaison between all other departments and our distribution centers for anything that is needed. Helps identify areas of opportunity to increase efficiencies among the department. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to think fast and balance multiple tasks with tight deadlines on a weekly basis.

Positions that Report to you: Purchasing Assistants
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports Purchasing Department daily with inquiries/questions.
Offers training and support for new employees.
Manages, supports and maintains supplier portal for all users.
Supports and maintains inquiries and issues for invoicing software.
Evaluates the efficiency and necessity of departmental processes and procedures.
Responsible for Recalls and making sure they are communicated in a timely and accurate manner.
Assists Purchasing Assistants in verifying repayment requests from vendors.
Troubleshoot applications with IT as issues arise.
Manages debt owed to Hy-Vee and requests payments from vendors owing debt.
Responsible for third party audits and validating their accuracy before deducting from vendors.
Responsible for overseeing warehouse gross each month to ensure we are reporting accurate results while maximizing distribution profitability.
Manages data clean up within applications to ensure accuracy and efficiencies.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Education and Experience:
High School, three to five years of related work experience. Skilled in the following applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Working Conditions:
The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.

Calculator, copier, telephone, printer, VDT and PC with Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Requirements
Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
