Job Title: Aerospace Component Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Component Engineer with a strong background in electronics engineering and component selection. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, and be comfortable communicating with internal customers and team members. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently or across teams.

Responsibilities

• Upload, download, parse, and analyze electronic files (e.g., Excel format).

• Communicate with PCB contract manufacturers and interface with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Project, and Electronics Design teams.

• Generate 'Where Used' reports and accurately track inventory and life-cycle data.

• Utilize EDA search tools such as Silicon Expert, IHS, CAPSEXPERT, DIGIKEY, FINDCHIPS, and OCTOPART.

Essential Skills

• Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering or an Associates Degree with relevant experience.

• More than 2 years of relevant Electronics Engineering, Component Selection, or Avionics Design experience.

• Familiarity with PDM or PLM tools.

• Experience with electronic file management and analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, Nuance.

• Experience with schedule tracking using MS Project.

• Proficiency with internet tools such as SharePoint and Intranet.

• Experience with datasheet review, component parametrics, AEC-Qualifications, GiDEP, and PCNs.

• Proficiency with inventory management tools.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00
