Location Description Michael Foods, Inc. located in the Village of West Jefferson, OH, is located just minutes from the western suburbs of Columbus and about 20 minutes to the west of downtown. It’s our honor to continue our strong commitment to our employees, our community, and our environment. Responsibilities Follow company Power Industrial Truck Policy and Procedures. Ensure safe operation of forklift operation including inspection and improper working condition, dock inspection in a safe and productive manner. Ship and receive product damage free and accurately by completing the quality reassurance checks. Complete all documents and paperwork completely and accurately. Fill customer orders accurately and follow the customer’s special instructions. Work very closely with the office staff to ensure discrepancies and issues are completed accurately. Ensure warehouse is organized, clean, damages are taken care of and pallets are off the floor and placed into bins. Promote teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasant manner. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience The successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and pass the forklift certification. Effectively read, write and speak English. Strong math and configuration is necessary Ability to analyze situations and make the best decision which benefits the company without jeopardizing the health and well-being of the employee. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: A minimum of six months experience in a palletized warehouse environment is preferred. Good Inter-Personal skills are required. Certification is preferred but, is not required at the time of hire. All distribution operators will be provided with MFI approved P.I.T. training /certification at the start of employment.
