Detail of This Job:
The Pump Operator is responsible for servicing the local and potentially extended areas. Jobs range from contractor run jobsites to federal contracts. It is the responsibility of the Pump Operator to communicate clearly and effectively with all customers to ensure safe and efficient use of time to complete the job. It is also important for the Pump Operator to work closely and effectively with other drivers and Dispatch to ensure timely delivery and execution of each job.
- Pre-trip inspection of concrete pumps pursuant to DOT regulations. Pre-trip inspection includes checking fluid levels of engine oil, antifreeze, tire pressure, brakes and other driver operated controls such as hydraulic systems, line systems, and hydraulics.Refilling fluids as needed.
- Fill water tank before each project by placing rubber hose into water tank and filling after checking that all valves are shut.
- Uses map and area knowledge to takes most direct route to job site to ensure on time service.
- Safely drives concrete pump into site and works with contractor or homeowner to set up pump in a safe position.
- Pump concrete pursuant to customer desire with respect to yards per hour in the safest manner.
- Upon completion, the operator will clean out pump systems in the project where desired by contractor or homeowner, in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Keep pump dispatch informed as to the status of projects via two-way radio, digital pagers and cellular phones, if available.
- Prior to leaving the site, driver is responsible for completing all paperwork.
- If not running a pump, the operator may be asked to work around the plant/yard, clean and maintain pump, assist at a batch or other duties as necessary.
- Understand and observe Carroll Concrete Companys policies and procedures.
- Collect payment from customer, if necessary.
Education and Certificate requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid CDL Class B Driver License and driving record within the tolerable insurability limits (Carroll Concrete Companys discretion).
- Driver must be able to operate manual truck, no automatic restriction
- American Concrete Pumping Association Certification Preferred.

- Must be able to get in and out of the truck in a safe manner.
- Manipulate all truck controls safely and accurate y.
- Must lift or maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds multiple times throughout the workday.
Schedule:We guarantee 40 hours all year round! Voluntary layoff accepted. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary. Some Saturday work required
