Job Title: Civil 3D CAD Tech

We are currently seeking an AutoCAD/Civil 3D Design Technician. This role will utilize Civil 3D to assist the engineering staff with the design of civil engineering projects and plan production. Responsibilities include working with Civil 3D pipe networks and profiles, Civil 3D drainage design and analysis, Civil 3D pressure pipe networks, and Civil 3D Terrain Modeling to compute earthwork volumes from generated surfaces. You will provide design drawings and supporting technical data for project designs, ensure proper dimensioning, completeness of material quantities and specifications, and meet design needs relative to regulatory codes. Additionally, you will utilize 2D and 3D CAD skills and engineering tools for the production of design deliverables, including drawings and material take-offs for overall civil projects. Effective communication with the project team regarding work status and information needs, as well as identifying and addressing technical inconsistencies and contract scope changes, is essential.

Hard Skills

• Associates degree or 2-year technical degree

• Minimum 3 years of related experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D

• Experience with civil engineering projects including paving, grading, water distribution, wastewater collection, and earthwork design and calculations

• Ability to interpret and use given standards of drafting, calculation, and file management

Soft Skills

• Good analytical capabilities

This is a fully on-site position in West Palm Beach, Florida.
