Job Title: 3rd Shift Scientist – Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing

Location: West Point, PA

Shift: 3rd Shift (12 AM - 8 AM) or Swing Shift (10 PM - 6 AM)

Days: Tue-Sat (Sun-Mon off) or Tue-Sun (when processes require Sunday work)

Pay : $30-36/hr.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work in a dynamic, 3rd shift laboratory environment supporting our biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

  • Conduct hands-on scientific work in a cutting-edge lab, with a focus on data analysis, troubleshooting, and real-time decision-making.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams, using your strong interpersonal skills to solve problems and deliver results.

  • Independently manage lab operations, ensuring timely documentation, equipment maintenance, and compliance with GMP standards.

  • Participate in the preparation and execution of analytical testing utilizing a variety of biochemical, molecular, and cell biology techniques.

  • Support aseptic techniques and cell culture operations, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology) or Engineering (e.g., Biomedical, Chemical).

  • Experience: New graduates with experience in college-level laboratory techniques are encouraged to apply. No prior professional experience is necessary (1 year or less required for the role).

  • Required Skills:

  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and apply scientific judgment in real-time.

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and communicate results effectively, with a focus on impact and recommendations.

  • Independent work ethic, thriving with minimal supervision while managing complex, ambiguous situations.

  • Willingness to be vaccinated and tested for Varicella (chickenpox) titer.

  • Knowledge of general laboratory techniques and scientific methods (experience in chemistry, biology, or biotechnology preferred).

  • Desired Skills:

  • Experience with flow cytometry, immunoassays, or analytical testing in molecular and cell biology techniques is a plus.

  • Familiarity with GMP documentation and lab equipment maintenance.

  • Experience in cell culture and aseptic techniques.

  • General knowledge of industrial processes and cGMP manufacturing.

  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry or laboratory setting is highly valued.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
