Wages and Benefits $55,000 - $60,000 annual salary; generous paid time off, plus 9 paid holidays and 3 floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; health savings account (HSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. DARTS sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer match and immediate vesting. A Typical Day in the Life A typical day as DARTS s Social Worker provides an opportunity to play a vital role in assessing, supporting, and connecting older adults and their caregivers with essential resources. Responsibilities will include the following: Providing one-on-one consultations to offer personalized assistance. Connecting caregivers to resources to ensure they have access to necessary support. Facilitating in-home family meetings to enhance communication and planning. Facilitating support groups to foster a community of care and understanding. Delivering community education presentations to raise awareness and share valuable information. Building a rapport with clients to create trusting and supportive relationships. Conducting thorough needs assessments to identify and address client requirements. Assisting with paperwork to simplify the process of obtaining services. Advocating for timely, adequate, and cost-effective provision of services. Providing services in various settings, such as in person, over the phone, at local senior buildings, and throughout the community. Who You Are You are licensed or are eligible to be licensed as a social worker in the state of Minnesota (LSW, LISW, LICSW). You have a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited school. You have previous experience working with older adults and caregivers. It is preferable if you are bilingual in Spanish and English. You demonstrate experience with public speaking and presentation development. You possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively. You have an excellent ability to develop a rapport with older adults that may have mental health issues and other life challenges. You are able to work independently and adjust methods of working as needed. You have the ability to write informative and effective case notes. You are skilled in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. You possess strong problem-solving and customer service skills. You have your own reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other community sites. You have a valid driver s license and the ability to meet DARTS s driving record requirements, or access to reliable transportation. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of s ate).
