This position is on 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.

JOB FUNCTION:

To set up, adjust, and maintain equipment, and to provide mechanical and electrical services including ventilating and heating systems and building repairs

To troubleshoot and do preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs varied mechanical duties such as dismantling, moving, repairing, installing, and preventive maintenance of equipment
• Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company lockout-tagout procedures
• Installs and/or changes the layout of machines and mechanical equipment
• Uses hoists and forklift trucks
• Inspects and evaluates equipment at prescribed intervals of time and usage or upon malfunction or breakdown
• Maintains schedule of preventive maintenance measures
• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
• Performs welding and fabricating as required

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

• Maintenance PM completion
• Maintenance related downtime
• Maintenance labor / repair hours
• Maintenance inventory accuracy

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• May act as Lead Technician on shift which includes: communication of shift activities to the Manager and/or Supervisor, communication with production supervisors, contacting management in problem situations, ensuring shift schedule is completed, submits Spare Parts Request Form
• Maintains cleanliness and order within area
• May assist in training new Maintenance associates
• May assist with periodic inventory of spare parts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
