The Baystate Noble Emergency Department:

  • Experience diverse pathologies and acuity as we serve over 32,000 patients annually

  • Staffed by highly skilled, board-certified emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Providers are engaged in the department process and staff are dynamic, adaptable and open to change

  • Designated department nurse educator

  • High focus on the education and advancement of the nursing team; orientation is individualized and utilizes modern technology and high fidelity simulation within an on-site sims lab

  • Advanced technology (CT/MRI/X-ray) and laboratory services available on-site

  • Level III geriatric emergency department accreditation

  • BNH Fast track for low acuity patients

  • Tele-trauma consults

  • Orthopedic surgery/GI/general surgery/urology specialists on-site, with access to additional Baystate Health specialists

  • Backed up by Baystate Medical Center: Level 1 trauma center/stroke center

The Noble Hospital Emergency Department offers shorter wait times for the critical care needs of Westfield and the surrounding communities. As the only emergency department in a 30 minute radius of Westfield, providing fast, effective and community centered care is our priority.

Position Description:

As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for leading, supervising and developing nursing and ancillary support employees within the busy emergency department environment.

The Nurse Manager responsibility is centralized within five major areas: Clinical Practice and Quality Outcomes, Human Resource Leadership, Management of the Environment, Financial Growth and Stewardship, and Strategic Planning.
