Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will work with vendors to install automated cells and torque robots on the production line. Experience in automated workstation installation and torque robot installation is required. The engineer will collaborate directly with the engineering manager and vendors on 5-6 automated stations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with all plant stakeholders to optimize process flow and layout.

  • Perform time and motion studies, develop standardized work, and estimate manpower.

  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance process efficiency and plant layout.

  • Resolve open issues and collaborate with OEMs through PPAP approval.

  • Provide engineering support for material flow process documents, standards, procedures, and training.

  • Coordinate installation, including delivery, rigging/mechanical, utilities, commissioning, and runoff qualification.

  • Develop and update process flow charts, PFMEA, safety documents, and control plans.

  • Support manufacturing process planning, create standardized production procedures, and produce documentation such as work instructions and revision drawings.

  • Design safety systems and efficient system layouts for manufacturing environments using plant layout, ergonomic, and workstation design principles.

  • Conduct detailed design reviews and approvals, including tooling.
