Robert Half HR/Office Manager in Whitestown, Indiana

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR/Office Manager to oversee and manage the human resources functions and office operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on recruiting, benefits enrollment, hiring, onboarding, and payroll processing while ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, organizational capabilities, and a passion for creating a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Hiring:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

  • Post job openings on various platforms and manage applicant tracking systems.

  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers for further assessments.

  • Facilitate the entire hiring process, including preparing offer letters and negotiating terms.

Onboarding:

  • Design and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires.

  • Ensure all necessary paperwork, compliance training, and orientation sessions are completed.

  • Act as a liaison for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

Benefits Enrollment & Administration:

  • Manage the company’s benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.

  • Assist employees with enrollment, changes, and questions regarding benefits.

  • Ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations and reporting requirements.

Payroll Processing:

  • Oversee and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, and direct deposit information.

  • Coordinate with finance to ensure proper payroll tax filings and compliance with wage laws.

HR Compliance & Administration:

  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Oversee employee performance evaluations and manage employee relations issues.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.

Office Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of the office.

  • Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and facility needs.

  • Coordinate company events, meetings, and team-building activities.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in HR and office management, with a focus on recruiting, benefits administration, and payroll.

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and best practices.

  • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll software, and applicant tracking systems.

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
