Overview / Job Summary:\ The adjunct instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training in Programmable Logic Controls to students in a post-secondary education institution. This role involves providing hands-on instruction, assessing student performance, and promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment. The adjunct PLC instructor may work on a part-time or contract basis, delivering courses and labs as per the institution\'s schedule.\ \ This position requires daytime availability for two or more days per week.\ \ Your day-to-dayresponsibilitieswill vary, but are not limited to:\

• Conduct classroom lectures and practical demonstrations on PLC programing, troubleshooting, and industry standards.
• Design and administer assessments, quizzes, and practical examinations to evaluate student progress and proficiency in PLCs.
• Works with local, regional and national employers to determine training needs and educational program opportunities and to develop the programs that meet these needs.
• Seeks partnerships and contracts for customized training activities and oversees the fiscal, physical and human resources needed to support these activities.
• Schedules, arranges, and attends meetings with employers from businesses, industries, and governmental agencies to discuss current training needs and available training resources.
• Writes applications and proposals, negotiates contracts, completes reports, supervises billing, and maintains documents for all programs funded by grants, special governmental funding, or employer reimbursement.

To remain current in the PLC industry, prioritize ongoing professional development by participating in workshops, seminars, and conferences. Actively engage in networking to cultivate partnerships and bolster the program\'s standing. Collaborate closely with peers, program coordinators, and industry experts to advocate for best practices, share valuable resources, and collectively enhance the program\'s quality and effectiveness.\ \ Education:

• Bachelors Degree OR Associates Degree and 1,000 hours certified job experience OR 4,000 hours certified job experiencerequired.
• Certifications in Rockwell Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCspreferred.

Requirements, Knowledge & Skills Needed:

• Extensive experience of Programmable Logic Controls, including communication, programming, and troubleshooting,required.
• Extensive experience with followingpreferred:
  • Electronics
  • Industrial Wiring
  • Motors & Motor Controls
  • Instrumentation
  • Industrial Robotics Systems
  • Manufacturing Automation Concepts
• Advanced user skills are required with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
• A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to work a varied work schedule to accommodate the needs of the adult student.
• Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize workflow, work well with minimum supervision, and accept responsibility for total task completion.
• Ability to identify and problem solve issues.
• Knowledge of local job market.
• Ability to maintain accurate reports and other records.
• Knowledge of social resources within the community.
• Ability to work closely with other members or a team for common goals.
• Effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a timely manner, and the ability to prudently prioritize tasks, projects and goals.
