TEC Systems Group is seeking a talented and driven Lead Data Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative team in Wichita, KS. In this role, you will lead a team of data professionals, including Data Engineers, Data Visualization Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, and Data Scientists. You will be instrumental in designing and managing scalable data solutions, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing data access across the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader passionate about mentoring and pushing the boundaries of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing technical mentorship to a diverse team with varying skill levels and uphold the highest standards of code quality.
  • Offer expert consulting on the design and development of data pipelines, warehouses, lakes, and ETL solutions.
  • Continuously enhance data infrastructure and processes, aligning with industry best practices and driving automation for efficiency.
  • Collaborate daily with team members, management, and customers to manage data projects and ensure timely delivery within budget. Support technical alignment in meetings and contribute to translating business requirements into technical tasks.
  • Ensure data privacy and integrity, with strict adherence to data privacy regulations such as HIPAA when handling sensitive customer information.
  • Address technical challenges and foster a collaborative environment where team members feel empowered to contribute to problem-solving efforts.
  • Provide accurate project estimates, including labor, tooling requirements, and manage project deliverables.
  • Maintain optimum code quality in SQL.
