Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

A typical day in this position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, saw operation, and working with computer systems efficiently. The number one priority at all times is safety. This is a key value emphasized consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Handle materials and ensure proper storage and organization.

  • Enter data accurately into computer systems.

  • Utilize math skills and read measurements with a ruler.

  • Operate saw equipment as needed.

  • Ensure warehouse is clean and organized.

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation experience.

  • Material handling experience.

  • Proficiency in computer systems.

  • Basic math and reading skills.

  • Experience in cycle counting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 1+ years of warehouse and production experience in a metals or manufacturing-related facility.

  • Skills in RF scanning, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.

  • Experience with blueprints, construction, water jet operations, and RF scanners is a plus.

Work Environment

The production facility is a warehouse environment with high expectations for production numbers and efficiency. The workforce includes 150-160 full-time employees. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the employer. Shifts are available as follows: 1st shift (6am-2pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10pm), and 3rd shift (10pm-6am). Employees are required to work 7 days a week for at least the next 3 months, with one Sunday off per month.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Park City, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00
