Amentum Conference Coordinator in Williamsburg, Virginia
Amentum is seeking a Conference Coordinator in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Conference Coordinator provides support for training and conferencing events in an office environment as outlined below. The Conference Coordinator will be required to perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Work closely with event Point of Contact (POC) to coordinate all event details, to include meals, transportation, event set-up, lodging, media and access to the site
Develop a breadth of knowledge in all areas of event management in order to make recommendations to enhance the events
Communicate effectively, utilizing both in written and verbal communication, to coordinate requirements
Work closely with other fulfillment teams to plan and coordinate requirements in order to meet or exceed customer expectations
Greet POCs upon arrival, as required to include Sundays, to provide a walk-through of the conference facility
Assist in trouble-shooting issues as they arise
Utilize multiple computer systems and databases to fulfill requirements
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma
Possess a minimum of two (2) years of general administrative support work with demonstrated experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
A valid driver’s license
Must have a valid government clearance at time of application
