Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Interact with Asplundh Supply Chain Management (“SCM”) sourcing personnel regarding the identification of projects; collaborate regarding project goals, timelines, processes to be utilized, etc.
Work with field personnel regarding their specific needs (tools & supplies, product specifications, etc.) — research required product or service, as applicable. Subsequently provide a solution for the regional location in question.
Research/source applicable suppliers who possess the ability to provide products and/or services based on the commodity or project in question.
Create and evaluate RFPs / 3-Bid system. Subsequently, coordinate the results and recommendation with the appropriate SCM sourcing team member to determine the appropriate next steps.
Evaluate proposed contracts as submitted by suppliers. Identify gaps vs. Asplundh’s needs, and identify areas of risk.Communicate findings with appropriate SCM sourcing team members.
Evaluate price files, working collaboratively with SCM AnalysAnalystst. Identify gaps as well as areas of opportunity. Coordinate findings with the appropriate SCM sourcing team member.
Interact with suppliers and regional locations regarding pricing, deliverables/fulfillment, etc.
Interact with SCM supervision, Field Vice Presidents / Managers, as well as Senior Executive Leaders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to demonstrate a level of knowledge, understanding, and performance in the fundamental skills, techniques, and procedures required for this position.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Organization: Ability to keep track of tasks and deadlines.
Initiative: Approach tasks in creative ways; find thoughtful solutions, and exhibit a sense of ownership.
Communication: Possess professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Business Relations: Ability to interface with a variety of internal and external partners to support business initiatives.
Technology: Possess proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Access. Ability and willingness to learn and support various systems.
Flexibility: Have the ability to adjust current tasks and schedules to updated priorities, as identified by SCM sourcing team members or management.
Collaboration: A team player, capable of working well with others, but also independently with limited direction.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Accounting / Finance.
2+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience.
