Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic / HVAC Duct

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic specializing in ductwork fabrication and installation. This role involves creating, installing, and maintaining duct systems in commercial buildings to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal sheets to create duct components using tools such as shears, press brakes, and welding equipment.

• Install ductwork in commercial buildings, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening through welding, riveting, and bolting.

• Wrap and line ductwork with insulation materials to improve energy efficiency and reduce noise.

• Interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications to accurately plan and layout duct systems.

• Inspect ductwork for accuracy and functionality, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure optimal performance.

Essential Skills

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation

• Proficiency with ductwork and HVAC systems

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints

• Skilled in using hand and power tools for metalworking

• Experience with welding, riveting, and bolting techniques

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
