Job Title: Autodesk CAD Trainer & Technical Support Specialist

Location: Wilmington, NC

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC

Pay Rate: $30.00/hour - $34.00/hour

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Description

We are seeking an experienced Autodesk CAD Trainer & Technical Support Specialist for a contract position. This role involves developing custom training and providing technical support for Autodesk software, focusing on Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience using Autodesk applications, strong CAD expertise, proficiency in Autodesk software, and the ability to provide first-level technical support to CAD users. Key responsibilities include developing training materials, conducting training sessions, assisting with technical inquiries, collaborating with engineering staff, managing user accounts, and performing routine audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Development: Create and update training materials tailored to the specific needs of individuals and teams.

  • Training Delivery: Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions that are engaging and effective.

  • Individual and Team Support: Offer one-on-one coaching and guidance on CAD projects and best practices.

  • 1st Level Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to CAD users, addressing common questions and issues.

  • User Management: Create new user accounts and perform audits as necessary.

  • Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate trainee progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Stay Updated: Keep current with the latest features of Autodesk software and industry trends.

  • Documentation: Maintain records of training sessions and generate reports on program effectiveness.

  • Customer Relations: Collaborate with engineering staff to understand CAD training needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using Autodesk applications, particularly Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault.

  • Previous experience as a CAD Trainer or in a similar role is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to adapt training methods to various audiences.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills for CAD-related issues.

  • Familiarity with training and presentation tools.

  • Some knowledge of WordPress is preferred.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $30.00/hour to $34.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
