Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Wilton Manors, Florida

Description We are offering an exciting contract to permanent position for an Accounting Clerk in the non-profit industry at our workplace in Wilton Manors, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining financial records, processing customer applications, and resolving inquiries. Your keen eye for detail and organizational skills will be put to good use as you monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and verifying all purchase order transmittal forms from various programs

• Reviewing and analyzing purchase orders and invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy in accordance with general ledger accounts

• Entering invoice information into the agency's accounting system in line with GAAP policies and procedures

• Generating and editing reports to ensure data accuracy

• Resolving payment issues with vendors and communicating any anticipated delays to the Accountant III

• Assisting fiscal coordinators and accounts payable staff with vendor statement research, invoice follow-up, and vendor payments

• Tracking, reviewing, and monitoring the program's payables

• Generating accounts payable checks, voiding checks, and clearing aged encumbrances

• Researching outstanding checks on a monthly basis

• Serving as a backup to the Finance Clerk and completing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements • Entry level position, no prior work experience required

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in Billing and Data Entry

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software preferred

• Ability to handle Purchase Orders and Check Runs

• Comfortable with Mail Checks and Manual Checks processes

• Capability to Prepare Checks and Reconcile Vendor Statements

• Familiarity with Vendor Statements and ability to Enter Vendor Invoices

• Demonstrated ability to Manage Vendor Relationships

• Knowledgeable about Vendor Invoices and Vendor Payment processes

• Experience working with Vendors in a non-profit setting
