Aerotek Maintenance Technician in WINSTON SALEM, North Carolina

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for multiple shifts. The available shifts include:

1st shift - 6am - 6pm, 2,2,3 schedule 3rd shift - 6pm - 6am, 2,2,3 schedule 2nd shift - 3pm-11pm, M-F schedule 3rd shift - 10pm - 6am, M-F schedule (PM Mechanic)

Responsibilities/Duties: - Perform mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment following written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager. - Record work done on forms provided. - Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines. - Identify parts needed and maintain inventory of parts in stockroom. - Perform equipment changeovers. - Other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • Use meter to take electrical readings AC and DC

  • Read continuity to find opens/broken wires, blown fuses

  • Read current with meter and amp clamp

  • Troubleshoot overcurrent issues

  • Read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams

  • Operate and navigate HMI panels

  • Wire up 3 phase motors and change direction of 3 phase motors

  • Understand voltage differences from 24VDC up to 480V DC

  • Replace mat top chain, linked chain with master links, laced belts, rubber bands for rollers, and belt applications

  • Replace bearings, shafts, rollers, and sprockets

  • Replace gearbox and motors

  • Drill, tap, and thread bolt holes properly

  • Use concrete hammer drill with anchors to secure equipment

  • Use basic hand tools and battery-operated tools (drill, grinder, sawzall, impact gun, router, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)

  • Apply grease to lubrication points properly with proper tooling

  • Change out V-Belts for fans and work with pulley systems

  • Work on dock plates, dock doors, and hydraulic cylinders

  • Perform basic plumbing, painting, and building repair work

  • Use tape measure for accurate readings

  • Replace seals and gaskets properly

  • Use torque wrenches to spec bolts, screws, etc. to proper torque

This is a fully on-site position in WINSTON SALEM, North Carolina.

Non-climate controlled, very clean. Must provide their own tools.
