Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician I helps with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure continuous production. Performs any duties as delegated to him by the maintenance lead or Facilities Engineer
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Pay Range: $25 - $35
What’s the Job?
Physical Requirements: Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Must Walk, kneel, crawl, climb, and use hands/arms regularly.
Tool Proficiency: Experience with mechanical and plumbing tools, such as drill motors, welding torches, and pipe-cutting machines. Certification to operate mobile lifting equipment is required.
Document Interpretation: Ability to read and understand safety rules, maintenance manuals, codes, and procedure guides.
Math & Problem-Solving: Strong skills in basic algebra, geometry, and practical problem-solving in non-standard situations.
Communication & Teamwork: Capable of writing reports, presenting information, and collaborating effectively in team environments.
What’s Needed?
Facilities Maintenance Expertise: Strong background in mechanical systems, including basic electrical knowledge.
Metalworking Skills: Experience setting up and operating tools to make and repair parts.
System Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems.
Preferred Skills: CNC machining, welding, and/or electrical drawing experience.
U.S. Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. National with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
