Pay up to $55/hr

Job Description

You will ensure that all assembly processes, equipment, and supporting systems operate to their maximum effectiveness, within specified safety and cost constraints, and that all products are of the highest possible quality. Maintain regular contact with production supervisors to keep them apprised of production floor issues encountered daily.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop all process sheets (Work Instructions) necessary to manufacture all products and ensure quality within established cost limits. Update BOMs to reflect CAR and approved process improvements.

  • Properly define all test parameters for electrical and mechanical integrity of the products, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental issues are considered and implemented with input and guidance from design and test engineers.

  • Teach, implement, and sustain DFSS and DFM processes into engineering development projects. Work with engineers and the prototype/sample department to ensure new products are properly documented, BOM, and process sheets.

  • Plan, document, and provide periodic status reports on test results, processes, and workflow improvements.

  • Generate PPAP packages, including Capability Studies, FMEA, and Control Plans.

  • Plan, document, control, and analyze RMA (Returned Material) to determine root cause and develop appropriate corrective actions to eliminate future non-conformities. Maintain an awareness of customer requirements and any complaints to identify areas needing development or improvement.

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment and ensure all equipment is used per safety regulations and company rules. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure compliance with all environmental and health and safety regulations, implementing 5S’s on the production floor.

  • Operate and train on the following equipment or perform the following tasks: Calipers, Voltmeter, Assembly aids, jigs and fixtures, Electrical resistance welders, Ultrasonic welders, Electrical testing, Product labeling, Shrink wrapping, Read technical drawings, Operate power supplies.
