Job Summary

Join our team at KBR as a Junior Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) supporting aircraft programs with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in performing requirements analysis, functional analysis, and system design using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
Support the creation and maintenance of system models using Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and tools like Cameo System Modeler.
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and refine system use cases, activities, and system behaviors.
Participate in system modeling efforts to support systems engineering and program documentation, including system architectures and interface definitions.
Help to analyze and update system requirements documentation to ensure alignment with program goals and technical designs.
Assist in the transition of traditional document-based processes to reusable model-based work products.
Support the preparation of MBSE models to supplement key program documentation, including acquisition strategies and engineering plans.
Participate in technical reviews and walkthroughs of system models, contributing to formal assessments and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
BS Degree in Engineering or applied science, and at least 2 years of experience in an engineering or other technical area
Documented training in Cameo SysML Modeling (or comparable environment)
Strong analytical skills and a passion for learning complex system design and modeling techniques.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Motivated self-starter with a desire to grow within the field of systems engineering and digital transformation.
DoD Clearance Requirement: Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
OCSMP-MBF Certification (Object Management Group - Certified Systems Modeling Professional – Model Builder – Fundamental) or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of employment.
DoD weapon systems engineering and acquisition experience
Experience with USAF fighter aircraft systems or aerospace engineering
