Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to operate CNC Mills and Lathes on a 1st shift schedule working 6am - 4:30pm 4 days per week with optional overtime.

The ideal candidate will have experience with machine tool set-up, tool selection, and understanding of work holding devices and first part inspection. The ability to adapt cutting cycles or machining processes to accommodate material irregularities is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC Lathe and 3 axis VMC machines.

• Prepare and manufacture high precision parts.

• Perform machine tool set-up, tool selection, and first part inspection.

• Read and interpret blueprints.

• Adapt cutting cycles or machining processes for material irregularities.

• Apply GD&T knowledge

• Choose and apply measuring equipment like OD/ID mics, calipers, height, and bore gages.

• Utilize tool selection and changes, identifying material characteristics, cutting fluids, and tooling materials.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance.

• Understand and implement safety, quality, and continuous improvement expectations.

Work Environment

Our facility is a safe, climate-controlled workshop with well-lit manufacturing spaces. Work stations are equipped with benches, tools, and overhead cranes for maneuvering larger pieces. The dress code includes steel-toe work boots, long pants, and shirts. Our team works 4-day, 10-hour shifts, with the option to work Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday. We recently expanded our facility by 10,000 square feet and adding CNC machines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00
