System One has a direct hire Staff Accountant position available for our client in York, PA! This person will handle payroll processing, general ledger reconciliations, and support accounts payable. Experience with ADP WorkforceNow is necessary! Ideal candidates should possess strong accounting knowledge, organizational skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing:

• Manage bi-weekly payroll for 140+ employees using ADP.

• Ensure payroll compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Address payroll inquiries and enter wage garnishments.

• Manage 401K reconciliation and audit compliance.

• Reconcile payroll deposits, taxes, and deductions; prepare payroll journal entries.

• Review and distribute W-2s.

• General Accounting Support:

• Assist with month-end close procedures, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Support audits with necessary documentation.

• Enhance accounting processes for efficiency.

• Accounts Payable Support:

• Assist with invoice verification and processing.

• Provide backup during peak times or absences.

  Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations.

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Excellent communication skills.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.

• Experience in accounts payable and payroll/HRIS software.

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
