About the role

Performs routine maintenance and sanitization of purified water systems. Conducts daily monitoring and logs for water pretreatment systems, including flushing, sample, testing potable water filtration equipment. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skill.

Responsible for maintenance and inspection of the site:

  • Heating systems, including high pressure steam boilers, heating transfer packages, and steam condensate systems

  • Compressed air systems, including receivers, air dryers, and filtration.

  • Chilled water systems, including evaporative cooling tower condensers, refrigerant chillers, and distribution and booster pumps for chilled water.

What you’ll do

  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

  • Practical experience with water sampling and testing technique.

  • Perform routine Ozone sanitization of purified water systems through computerized operator interface

  • Performs routine use-point flush and sanitization

  • Practical knowledge of purified water quality analyzers, including Conductivity/Resistivity, and Total Organic Carbon (TOC).

  • Practical knowledge and use of hand tools

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.

  • May require valid driver's license.

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to problem solve. Requires basic analytical skills.

  • Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
